Local Derby’s always bring out the best in performances and both teams didn’t disappoint with some excellent football being played.
The Anvils started the brighter in the first half pressing the Wasps hard early on but roles were reversed by the end of the half.
HT: 0-0
2nd half the Wasps started on top but could not breach the Anvils defence. CDG began to get on top midway through the half and took the lead on 68mins after some excellent play from Michael Belli provided James Laws with the through ball which he calmly slotted past Harry Howes in the Wasps goal to put the Anvils ahead on 68 Mins.
EG worked hard to draw level but were well kept at bay so a deserved victory for CDG.
Good to see several past players attending the match and thanks to EG for their Hospitality.

FA Cup Ext Preliminary Round
CDG exit the FA Cup at the 1st Hurdle with a loss to Combined County Prem side Sheerwater.
In very hot conditions the football on both sides was not great in terms of energy.
Sheerwater looked better prepared early on creating several chances thwarted by Alex Bellingham in the Anvils goal and went ahead on 16 mins. The Anvils then controlled up to half time creating chance after chance but couldn't convert.
HT: 0-1 Sheerwater
Sheerwater again had most of the early play but The Anvils drew level on a break to score through Ben Martin-Coward. 1-1.
From then on in both sides worked hard to get the winner but it was Sheerwater who scored in added on time to win the tie. 1-2.
Good luck to Sheerwater in the Prel Rd at Jersey Bulls.

Anvils and Roffey fought out 90mins of excellent football.
Anvils went ahead on 10mins through Will Harley but Roffey looked the more likely to score thereafter controlling most of the 1st half. Roffey scoring after 23 & 27 Mins to lead 2-1 at HT.
2nd Half The Anvils controlled most of the half and drew level on 71 mins with a good strike from Will Harley. Many chances came their way but in the final mins Roffey were awarded a penalty after a clearance hit the hand of a defender although disputed the Pen was given. Roffey scored from the Pen and won the match 2-3
A great game of football throughout.

1st game of the new 26/27 Season.
Anvils started very well pressurising Newhaven right from the start. They took the lead after just 3 mins through Will Harley. More chances came and went but Newhaven started to get on top just before HT.
2nd Half it was Newhaven's turn to press the Anvils and deservidly scored on 48mins to draw level. More pressure from Newhaven did not result in any further score with the Anvils getting back on top towards the end of the game.
