Anvils through 4th Rd of the FA Vase after a win at Faversham Strike Force.
Both teams played well but the Anvils always looked more dangerous throughout.
CDG went ahead on after 37 mins with a great strike from Rhys White

National South side Horsham as expected dominated throughout and the Anvils had to work very hard to match the the quality of their team.
After some initial equality between the two teams the Anvils went 2 goals down in the 7th & 10th minutes but held Horsham until the 30th Min when they made it 3-0 HT Horsham 3 Anvils 0.
2nd half the Anvils seemed to have more of the play and created several chances which were not converted wheras at the other end Horsham were much more clinicle in front of goal. However a good spell from the Anvils during the mid part of the half ended with two golden chances one of wich was converted by James Laws who carmly slotted past Carey in the Horsham goal. Just after another chance with the Horsham keeper stranded a chip from George Falzon just cleared the cross bar. However Horsham at the other end capitised on any mistakes made and some clever build up play scored 7 by the Final whistle.
Impressed by the quality of Horshams play and their league position, 5th place in the National League South shows the quality of this team.
Impressed also by the Welcome and refreshments from the Horsham Commitee throughout.
Good luck to Horsham who have every chance to reclaim the Sussex county Cup for a 2nd year.

U18's through in the Sussex County FA Youth Cup R3 with a 2-0 win. At Lancing Isthmian.

Excellent performance from both sides today Steyning probably had the better of the 1st half and Crawley Down Gatwick the 2nd half.
0-0 at HT.Steyning went ahead on 58mins 0-1 but The Anvils should have got back on terms with some great chances created.
Well played both sides, had the spectators on the edge throughout.
